  • Don’t Quit. Just Turn the Page| 2 Life-Changing Tips

    Don’t Quit. Just Turn the Page| 2 Life-Changing Tips

If you had to give one life-changing tip, what would it be?

Don’t Quit. Just Turn the Page.

If I had to give one life-changing tip… I’d cheat and give you two. 😌

Because following instructions has never been my strongest personality trait.

    .

    Tip #1: Don’t give up.

    .

I know. It sounds like something you’d find on a coffee mug.

    .

    But hear me out.

    .

Sometimes we don’t quit because we’re tired.
We quit because we convince ourselves that one rejection, one failure, one closed door is the universe politely saying,
“Sorry, you’re not the main character.”

    .

    What if it’s just saying,
“Wrong door. Try the one next to it.”

    .

Not getting that job doesn’t mean you won’t find your work.
Not getting that relationship doesn’t mean love packed its bags forever.
Not succeeding this time doesn’t mean you’re bad at it.

    .

It just means… the plot needed a twist..

    .

    Even Wi-Fi disconnects sometimes.
It doesn’t mean you throw away the router. 😂

    .

Tip #2: Sometimes life asks you to change the path, not your determination. 🦋

Don’t give up on your dream too quickly.

    .

    Fight for it.

    .

    Work hard for it.

    .

    Give it everything you’ve got.

    .

But if you’ve truly given it your best and life still keeps pushing you in another direction don’t spend your whole life standing outside one closed door.

    .

Sometimes, changing the path doesn’t mean giving up on the destination.

    .

Life isn’t written with permanent ink. 🦋

    .

    It’s more like a sketchbook.

    You can erase.
    You can redraw.
You can scribble over the ugly part.
You can turn a mistake into a cloud, a tree, or somehow… a very artistic potato. 🎨🥔

    .

Our lives are blank canvases that keep handing us fresh space to paint on.

    .

    Didn’t like Chapter 3?

    .

    Good news.

    .

Nobody is stopping you from writing an amazing Chapter 4.

    .

    So if today feels heavy…

    Take a deep breath.

    Sharpen your pencil.

    Turn the page.

    Start again.

Not because your dream wasn’t worth fighting for…

    .

But because sometimes life isn’t rejecting you.

    .

    It’s simply redirecting you.

    .

So here’s my not-so-secret life advice:

    Don’t give up.

Don’t give up on yourself either.

    .

Because as long as you’re breathing, your story is still accepting edits.

    .

    And who knows?

    .

The chapter you’re worrying about today might become your favorite plot twist tomorrow. 🤍🦋

    Until the next whisper…

  • The Rarest Skill We Never Learn

The Rarest Skill We Never Learn

What’s a skill you consider basic, that most people don’t actually know how to do?

Loving wholeheartedly… and protecting the trust someone places in you.

    I know, I know… people will say, “That’s not a skill.”

    Oh, I disagree.

    Making promises is easy.

Keeping them? That’s where the training begins.

Everyone wants unconditional love until they’re expected to be responsible with it.

Everyone asks to be trusted until trust starts feeling like accountability.

I’ve always believed that if I let someone into my heart, they deserve my complete trust. I don’t know how to love in percentages. It’s either 100% or not at all.

Apparently, that’s not how everyone operates.

Some people treat trust like a free trial—use it, enjoy it, and cancel it when it’s inconvenient.

The older I get, the more I realize that the rare skill isn’t finding people who can love you.

It’s finding people who know how to handle someone’s love without taking it for granted.

    Because love isn’t fragile.

    Trust is.

And once someone places it in your hands, the real skill is knowing what not to do with it.

That’s a lesson no school teaches… but life certainly does.

Somewhere Along the Way, We Forgot

Maybe that’s the skill we’re slowly forgetting.

We all crave the same things.

    To be loved without conditions.

    To be trusted without suspicion.

To be accepted without constantly having to prove our worth.

Yet, when it’s our turn to offer that same love and trust to someone else, we hesitate. We become cautious. We protect ourselves so much that we sometimes forget to protect the person who trusted us.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve become experts at expecting…

    …but beginners at giving.

We ask to be understood before we learn how to understand.

We ask for loyalty before we become loyal ourselves.

Maybe that’s why so many relationships today begin with excitement but end with disappointment.

    Not because love disappeared.

    But because responsibility did.

    Love is beautiful.

    Trust makes it meaningful.

Responsibility is what keeps both alive.

The World We Could Leave Behind

I often wonder what our world would look like if we taught children that protecting someone’s trust is just as important as earning it.

    That keeping your word matters.

    That loyalty isn’t old-fashioned.

    That kindness isn’t weakness.

That another person’s heart is never a place to satisfy your ego.

Imagine an entire generation growing up believing that love isn’t about possession, trust isn’t about control, and relationships aren’t disposable.

Imagine if they carried those values everywhere—with their families, their friends, strangers, animals, and even the environment they live in.

Wouldn’t the world become just a little gentler?

Maybe This Is the Skill We’re Missing

Maybe that’s why I still believe loving wholeheartedly is a skill.

Not because everyone can fall in love…

But because very few know how to honor the love they’re given.

The saddest part is that we keep searching for better people, while forgetting to become better people ourselves.

Maybe if we learned this one simple skill, we wouldn’t just build stronger relationships—we would build a kinder generation.

A generation that understands that love isn’t just a feeling, trust isn’t just a word, and both are far too precious to be treated as temporary conveniences.

Maybe that’s the most basic skill of all.

And perhaps that’s exactly why it has become the rarest.

    .

    Until the next whisper…

  • Fictional Character You Relate to the Most | Nihshabd

Fictional Character You Relate to the Most | Nihshabd

Who is the fictional character you relate to the most?

    One Character? Really?

Who is the fictional character you relate to the most?

    I hate this question.

    Not because I don’t have an answer…

But because it expects me to have just one.

    Seriously?

That’s like asking an artist to choose one colour…
or asking a writer to pick one favourite word.

Life doesn’t make us that simple.

Just when I think I’ve found the fictional character I relate to the most, another one quietly taps me on the shoulder and says,

“Excuse me… you’ve borrowed a little piece of me too.”

    And annoyingly…

    She’s right.

Why choose one… when life lets you become many?” 🦋

A little bit of Jo March lives in me every time my thoughts refuse to stay inside my head until I write them down. Sometimes writing feels less like a hobby and more like breathing.

Then there’s Belle. We definitely have one thing in common—we can both disappear into books and completely forget that the real world exists. The only difference is that she had a magical library. I have a growing collection of books… and a family occasionally reminding me that food exists outside the pages. 😄

And then comes Rapunzel, happily throwing a hundred creative ideas my way, usually all at once, as if my brain were hosting a never-ending art festival. Finishing one project before starting another? That’s a lovely theory.

Sleeping Beauty and I also have something in common—we’re both deeply committed to the noble art of sleeping. 😄 The only difference is that she needed a curse… I just need a pillow! But she has also reminded me that slowing down isn’t the same as falling behind. Sometimes the biggest transformations happen while we’re quietly resting, healing, or simply giving ourselves permission to pause.

Whenever life decides to test me, Mulan gently reminds me that courage doesn’t always arrive with trumpets and fireworks. Sometimes it simply whispers, “Take the next step.”

And then there’s Anne Shirley. We have an agreement—I borrow her imagination, and she borrows my ability to overthink absolutely everything. 😄 Together, we can turn the simplest moment into a beautiful story… or a full-length novel that nobody asked for.

See? This is exactly my problem.

How am I supposed to choose just one?

The Best Fictional Character Is the One You Create

The more I think about it, the more I realize that life was never meant to make us copies of someone else’s story.

    Some days need courage.

    Some days need kindness.

    Some days demand creativity.

Some days simply ask us to be patient.

If I forced myself to live like only one fictional character, I’d probably be wonderfully prepared for one situation… and completely lost in the next.

Why Being Many Characters Makes You Unique

Maybe the real magic isn’t finding the fictional character you relate to the most.

Maybe it’s collecting the best qualities from every story that touches your heart, blending them with your own experiences, learning from your mistakes, laughing at yourself once in a while, and slowly becoming someone no book has ever written before.

Because that’s what makes us different.

    That’s what makes us adaptable.

That’s what makes us beautifully unique.

So don’t try to fit yourself into one character.

Be the dreamer when dreams are needed.

Be the reader when wisdom is needed.

Be the creator when the world needs something new.

Be the warrior when life becomes difficult.

And when life surprises you—as it always does—don’t be afraid to reinvent yourself.

After all, life isn’t about becoming someone’s favourite fictional character.

It’s about becoming a person who can adapt to every chapter with courage, kindness, curiosity, creativity, and hope.

    Why settle for one character…

when you have the privilege of carrying a little piece of many?

Maybe that’s exactly what makes you you.

A beautifully imperfect, ever-evolving story that no author could have written better.

    .

    Now it’s your turn.🤍

Who is the fictional character you relate to the most? Or, like me, do you carry little pieces of many stories within you? I’d genuinely love to hear your answer. 🦋✨

Everything Happens for a Reason | Life’s Hidden Lessons

Do you think everything happens for a reason?

Do you think everything happens for a reason?

    Yes.

Not because I think every painful moment was meant to happen.

But because I believe we are capable of giving meaning to what happens.

Looking back, some of the biggest disappointments in my life quietly redirected me toward something I never knew I needed.

Some people came only to stay for a chapter.
Some dreams ended because they weren’t my destination.
Some delays protected me from rushing into the wrong things.

At the time, none of it made sense.

    I questioned it.
    I resisted it.
    Sometimes I even hated it.

But life has a strange habit of connecting the dots only when we stop looking forward and glance back.

Do I think everything happens for a reason?

Yes… though not always the reason we imagine.

Sometimes the reason is to make us stronger.
Sometimes it is to make us kinder.
Sometimes it simply teaches us what truly matters.

And sometimes, the reason isn’t hidden in the event itself…

It’s hidden in the person we become because of it.

Maybe that’s the real reason all along.🦋

  • Guru Purnima: To Everyone Who Taught Me | Nihshabd

Guru Purnima: To Everyone Who Taught Me | Nihshabd

Guru Purnima: To Everyone Who Taught Me Something… Thank You ❤️

Today is Guru Purnima a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to our gurus, the people who guide us from darkness to light, from confusion to clarity, and from ignorance to wisdom.

    .

Traditionally, this day is celebrated to honor our teachers and to remember Maharishi Ved Vyasa, the great sage who compiled the Mahabharata and the Vedas. But over the years, I’ve come to believe that the spirit of Guru Purnima is much bigger than that.

    .

    It’s a day to pause…

    .

    Look back…

    .

And quietly thank every person who has helped us become who we are.

    .

We often imagine a guru as someone standing in front of a classroom or teaching from a sacred book.

    .

But life has taught me that gurus don’t always arrive with a title.

    .

    Sometimes they come as parents.

    .

    Sometimes as a life partner.

    .

    Sometimes as our children.

    .

Sometimes as friends, strangers, colleagues… or even people who stayed in our lives for only a little while.

    .

The moment someone teaches us something that changes us, they become our guru… whether we realize it or not.

    .

Some taught us how to love.

    .

    Some taught us patience.

    .

Some gave us courage when we had none.

    .

Some believed in us before we believed in ourselves.

    .

Some inspired us simply by the way they lived.

    .

And yes… a few taught us through heartbreak, disappointment and silence. Their lessons weren’t easy, but they were lessons nonetheless.

    .

When I look back at my own journey, I realize that every person I’ve met has left behind a little piece of wisdom. Some added to my happiness. Some strengthened my character. Together, they quietly shaped the person I am still becoming.

    .

So today, on Guru Purnima, I simply want to say thank you.

    .

Thank you to my parents for my very first lessons in life.

    .

Thank you to my family for believing in me.

    .

Thank you to my husband for helping me believe in myself.

    .

Thank you to my children, who continue to teach me something new every single day.

    .

Thank you to my friends, my readers, and every soul who has crossed my path whether for a season or a lifetime.

    .

And thank you to those who challenged me. You helped me grow in ways comfort never could.

    .

If our paths have crossed, chances are you’ve taught me something… big or small.

    .

For that, I am truly grateful.

    .

Maybe that’s the real meaning of Guru Purnima

Not finding one guru, but recognizing the many who have been quietly lighting our path all along.

    .

    Because learning never stops…

    …and neither does gratitude. 🙏❤️

    With love,

  • Home Decoration Style: A Cozy Home Filled with Real Life

Home Decoration Style: A Cozy Home Filled with Real Life

Beautifully decorated… beautifully lived in. 🤍

    What’s your home decoration style?

People notice beautiful homes. I notice how they make me feel. That’s probably why my home decoration style has never been about following trends. It’s about creating a home that feels peaceful, welcoming, and says only two simple words…

    .

    “Welcome home.” 🤍

    .

And that’s still exactly my home decoration style.

    .

My home is decorated just the way I love it.

    .

The only thing that’s changed over the years is… we’ve added a few extra-curricular activities. 😄

    .

Life gifted me two footballers. ⚽

    .

My boys are absolutely convinced that after Messi and Ronaldo, football is now in very safe hands… theirs! Naturally, our living room has been promoted to an international stadium.

    And the referee?

    .

My little Shih Tzu, Kiwi. 🐶

    .

    The moment a match begins, she’s off…

    .

    From here to there…

    There to here…

    Back again…

    .

I sometimes wonder if she’s secretly waiting for someone to hand her a whistle! 😂

    .

When football takes a break, the stadium magically transforms into a Physics and Chemistry lab.

    .

    School projects appear.

Chart papers take over the dining table.

    .

Glue sticks vanish into thin air…. Swoosh! 🤭

    .

And somehow, I become the Chief Helper.

    .

    The ideas?

    100% theirs.

    The hard work?

    Let’s just say… I have a permanent membership. 🤭

    .

    Then come the pillow fights.

    .

The legendary battles for the TV remote.

    .

And by the time everyone is happily exhausted, Kiwi and I exchange one look…

    “Operation Clean-Up?”

    .

She immediately resumes her referee duties.

    From here to there…

    There to here. 😂

    .

To be fair, my house stays neat, clean, and beautifully arranged from morning till evening.

    .

    Every cushion behaves.

    .

Everything stays exactly where it belongs.

It’s only later that the house decides…

“Now let’s make some memories.” 😄

    ,

By bedtime, it looks delightfully lived in.

    And the next morning?

    .

Everything is back in its place, ready for another beautiful day… and another beautiful mess.

    .

    Because I’ve realized something.

    .

A beautiful home decoration style isn’t just about pretty cushions, handmade décor, or perfectly styled shelves.

    .

Sometimes it’s footballs rolling across the floor, school projects spread over the table, pillow fights echoing through the hallway, and one tiny furry referee making sure nobody misses the fun.

    .

Those moments become part of the décor too.

    .

    And honestly…

    I wouldn’t change a thing. ❤️

    .

    Now I’m curious… 🤍

    What’s your home decoration style?

Are you a Pinterest lover, a minimalist, someone who loves warm and cozy spaces… or does your home also come with a few extra-curricular activities like mine? 😄

Tell me in the comments I’d love to peek into your little corner of the world. 🏡✨

  • Every Grey Hair Has a Backstory (And It’s Probably Hilarious!)

Every Grey Hair Has a Backstory (And It’s Probably Hilarious!)

Every Grey Hair Has a Backstory… and I’m Pretty Sure None of Mine Appeared Because I “Aged Gracefully.” 🤭

The first grey hair didn’t politely knock on my door.

It simply appeared one morning, caught the bathroom light at just the right angle, and stood there looking ridiculously proud of itself.

People say grey hair is a sign of wisdom.

    Really?

I’m convinced it’s mostly a sign that life keeps handing us surprise assignments without checking whether we’re already working overtime. 😂

One grey hair probably arrived after hearing,
“Can I ask you a quick question?”
…and discovering that “quick” meant the next forty-five minutes.

Another showed up after a sleepless night spent overthinking a conversation that ended three days ago.

A few settled in after years of pretending,
    “I’m fine.”
Meanwhile, my brain had twenty-seven tabs open, one was playing music, three were buffering, and I couldn’t figure out where the stress was coming from.

Then there are the grey hairs gifted by family gatherings.

    Those deserve medals.

And let’s not forget the ones that appeared after someone casually said,
    “Don’t stress so much.”

    Oh, thank you!

I had absolutely no idea I could simply switch stress off. Why didn’t I think of that sooner? 😄

Every Grey Hair Has Earned Its Place

    The funny thing is…

People often see grey hair as proof that we’re getting older.

    I see it differently.

Each silver strand is a tiny receipt.

A receipt for every difficult decision.
    Every responsibility carried.
    Every unexpected detour.
Every lesson learned the hard way.
Every laugh that somehow made everything bearable.

Maybe that’s why they don’t bother me anymore.

    They’re not stealing my youth.

They’re quietly reminding me that I’ve lived… really lived.

Grey Hair Doesn’t Tell Your Age. It Tells Your Story.

So, whether you’re a woman, a man, or someone who’s still proudly counting “just two grey hairs”… tell me—

If they could gossip about you, what story would they tell? 🤭

    Now It’s Your Turn…

Now it’s your turn. Confess! Which grey hair has the funniest backstory? Mine are refusing to sign a non-disclosure agreement. 😄

  • Favorite Song Lyric | The Soundtrack of My Life

Favorite Song Lyric | The Soundtrack of My Life

What’s a song lyric that has stuck with you forever?

What’s a song lyric that has stuck with you forever? 🎶

Is there a song lyric that has stayed with you forever? I know I have one… actually, I have hundreds. 🎶

Some people have a mind full of thoughts.

Mine has a full-time radio station.

    No breaks.

    No advertisements.

No “Are you still listening?” pop-up.

Just music… all day, every day.

Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t humming something. If you ever catch me looking lost in thought, there’s a very good chance I’m not overthinking life…

I’m simply trying to remember the next line of a song.

Now, before you picture me as someone with the voice of an angel…

    Let’s lower our expectations.

    Quite a bit.

My love for music is extraordinary.

    My singing 🎤…

Well, let’s just say a few innocent birds have probably considered relocating because of me. The sparrows deserve compensation. The pigeons have learned to keep a safe distance. Even the crows seem to exchange worried glances as if to say,

“Should… should we call for backup?” 😂

    But here’s the thing…

Music has never cared whether I can sing.

It has only ever asked me to feel.

And I’ve always answered with my whole heart.

The Playlist in My Head 🎶

My brain is the most unpredictable playlist you’ll ever come across.

An old Bollywood classic while making tea…

    A 90s melody while folding laundry…

A heartbreak song despite having absolutely no reason to be heartbroken…

A dance number while searching for my phone… which, of course, is already in my hand.

    Then suddenly an English song.

    A Tamil melody.

    A Telugu favourite.

    Marathi.

    Bengali.

    Punjabi.

    A bhajan.

At this point, even Spotify would probably knock on my door and ask,

“Excuse me… would you mind sharing whatever is going on inside your head?”

And then comes my favourite part.

Sometimes I completely forget the lyrics.

    Does that stop me?

    Absolutely not.

I confidently manufacture brand-new lyrics on the spot.

With the confidence of someone who personally wrote the song.

If people don’t know the original version, there’s a fair chance they’ll believe mine.

That’s the level of confidence we’re dealing with here.

    More Than Just Music 🤍

For me, music has never been background noise.

It has been my travel companion.

    My therapist.

    My cheerleader.

    My comfort after difficult days.

    My celebration on beautiful ones.

Some songs remind me of people I’ve loved.

Some remind me of places I’ve left behind.

Some carry the scent of childhood.

    Some sound like home.

I think everyone has a song lyric that has stayed with them forever, even if they haven’t heard the song in years.

And then there are those rare lyrics…

The ones that quietly understand you before you even understand yourself.

Maybe that’s why I don’t simply listen to music.

    I live inside it.

Every memory in my life seems to have found its own soundtrack.

So today’s prompt feels incredibly close to my heart.

    Before you leave…

Tell me about the lyric that never really left you.

The one that still lives rent-free in your heart.

The one you find yourself humming without even realizing it.

The one that has quietly held your hand through joy, heartbreak, hope, or healing.

I’d love to know which song lyric has stayed with you forever.

    Leave it in the comments.

I’m not just looking for a lyric.

I’m looking for the little story that lives behind it.

Because every favourite song has a memory.

    Every memory has a heartbeat.

    And sometimes…

the shortest lyric carries the longest story. 🤍

  • Some Endings Should Never Be Rewritten

Some Endings Should Never Be Rewritten

If you could rewrite any book’s ending, which one would you choose?

If I could rewrite any book’s ending? Some endings should never be rewritten. Honestly… none.

    .

Every book carries a piece of its author’s heart. The ending isn’t just a few final pages; it’s the destination of a journey the writer carefully chose. Some authors spend months, even years, finding the ending that feels right. Who am I to rewrite something they created with so much love, thought, and emotion?

    .

I believe change is the only constant in life. But I also believe some things shouldn’t be changed.

    .

A story’s ending is one of them.

    .

To me, some endings should never be rewritten because changing the ending changes the meaning of every chapter before it.

    .

It reminds me of our own lives.

    .

If we were given the chance, many of us would rewrite a few chapters erase the painful ones, hold on to the happiest ones a little longer, or choose different paths altogether. But life doesn’t work that way. Every joy, every heartbreak, every mistake, and every triumph becomes a part of who we are. They shape us, make us unique, and become the very reason our story could never belong to anyone else.

    .

    Perhaps that’s why I don’t want to rewrite a book’s ending either.

    .

Some endings make us smile. Some leave us in tears. Some stay with us for years. But they all belong exactly where they are.

    .

Once they’re written, they become part of the story’s destiny.

    .

And maybe that’s true for our lives as well.

Not every chapter is easy to read, but every chapter has a purpose.

    .

Some stories are simply meant to end the way they do.

    .

So no… I wouldn’t rewrite a single ending. Because the moment you change the destination, you don’t just change where the story ends… you change why it was ever told.

    .

Some Endings Should Never Be Rewritten… What Do You Think?

    So tell me…

If you could rewrite the ending of any book, would you? Or would you leave it exactly as it is?

To the Hearts Behind the Words

  • Every Soul Leaves Something Behind | हर मुसाफ़िर…

Every Soul Leaves Something Behind |

    Every Soul Leaves Something Behind

    Life is a long journey…

    And perhaps none of us
    crosses another’s path
    by accident.

    Some people arrive
only to open a window within us
that we never knew had been closed.

    Some leave,
    yet in their leaving,
    they introduce us
to a strength we never knew we had.

    There are those
who stay for only a handful of moments,
    yet leave behind memories
    that outlive years.

    And then there are those
who are like the morning light—
they quietly become a part of our days,
    asking for nothing,
yet giving us countless reasons to keep going.

    Maybe that’s why
    I no longer believe
that meeting someone is mere coincidence.

    Because fate
    doesn’t just send people.

    It sends lessons.
    It sends healing.
    It sends mirrors
that help us see ourselves more clearly.

And every once in a while,
    it sends someone
who quietly changes the way we see life.

    So, to those who stayed…
    thank you.

And to those who had to leave…
    thank you, too.

    Because every traveller
becomes a part of someone else’s story
before continuing on their own journey.

    And perhaps,
    that was the reason
they were meant to cross our path.
